Advent Day: 22
Style: American Stout
A truly remarkable stout offering to fruit and malt lovers alike, Bell’s Cherry Stout has noteworthy tartness from the addition of Montmorency cherries grown in the Traverse City region. Instead of adding sweetness, the tart cherry addition serves as a counterpoint to dark chocolate notes lent by the malts used. With slight hopping to produce a well-balanced yet complex stout, we have a feeling Bell’s is turning its sights to the cordial cherry market, and in no way is that a bad thing.
