Description:
This beer is inspired by a marshmallow peppermint dessert (the recipe is on their site, and it sounds delicious!) made by Grandma Van, who appears to be related in some way to someone at Epic. They hit it hard with coffee and cacao early in the brewing process, then add just enough peppermint at the end to round it out. All we can say is: thank goodness we didn’t try to make a holiday beer inspired by our grandmother’s best recipe. We don’t think hitting it hard with green beans early in the brewing process, and then adding bacon grease and brown sugar near the end, would make quite as spectacular a beer.
