On Tuesday, February 17th, we’ll be celebrating the release of a brand spanking new collaboration beer from Three Notch’d and Oskar Blues: Black and Goldings Black Ale. Here’s what Three Notch’d has to say about the story behind this delicious brew:
“Black & Goldings” Black AleA black ale hopped with first Gold, U.S. Goldings and East Kent Goldings.Dave Warwick and Tim Matthews became friends in Pittsburgh, PA in 2006 when they were both assistant brewers in crosstown brewpubs. Dave, now Brewmaster for Three Notch’d, and Tim, now Brewmaster for Oskar Blues, created “Black and Goldings” as a nod to the beloved city where their friendship and brewing careers began. Their experiences in Pittsburgh have left their mark on Dave and Tim, and now they’re teaming up to leave their own Mark with this delicious collaboration brew!
And celebrate we shall! Here’s what you can look forward to:
- We’ll have representatives from both breweries here from 5 until they get tired of drinking awesome beer. You want to know anything about one of these awesome breweries or their brews? Here’s your chance!
- We’ll have other beers on tap from both breweries: 40 Mile, Imperial Brown Wheat Ale and Smores Graham Cracker Porter from Three Notch’d, as well as Deviant Dale’s and Ten Fidy Stout from Oskar Blues.
- Steal the Pint! We’re giving away either a Three Notch’d or an Oskar Blues pint glass to the first 48 people who order the Black and Goldings.
This is going to be a fun night with a ton of great beers on tap. Stop in and give one a try, chat with someone who knows their stuff, and leave happy. Yeah!
