*** Update, 11/16/14 ***
OK, due to a mistake by one of our vendors, not all of the beer arrived on Friday as we expected. So, we have to wait until tomorrow for the last beer to come in. We’ll be filling calendars on Tuesday, and they’ll be available for pickup on Wednesday, 11/19. We were able to keep the final cost right at $70, which comes to $73.71 with tax. We are super excited about this one; we think it’s amazing, and we know you will too. See you soon!
*** Update, 11/13/14 ***
Hey folks, thanks to everyone who has reserved their CBAC, we just ordered the beers and we have to say, this one is better than last year’s. We’ll be filling them up this Saturday and should have them ready for pickup by Sunday, 11/16. Call the restaurant to confirm (434-975-3311) if you’re coming Sunday to pick it up, but they should be ready to go! We’ll know the price tomorrow when we confirm that all the correct beer came in but they should be right around $70, as we’ve been telling people.
It’s back! All good things come to those who wait, they say, and we’ve got 24 good things coming soon to reward your patience. The Craft Beer Advent Calendar has returned. If you don’t know what that is, read on.
With a traditional advent calendar, you open up a little door every day from December 1st through December 24th. It’s like a countdown to Christmas. There are usually chocolates, or treats, or toys hidden behind each door. In our Advent calendar, however, we put an awesome craft beer behind each door. You can drink ’em however you want. Open the door in the morning before work, stick the beer in the fridge, and have it when you get home. Save them all up and take them to the family Christmas dinner. Give them away to your neighbors (we don’t espouse this method, but it’s very commendable and holiday-spirit-y of you!). Your choice. We do all the hard work, gathering 24 amazing beers, and you get to sit back and enjoy the results.
There is a catch, though.
We won’t tell you what the beers are. That’s part of the point, every day is a surprise! What we will do, however, so you trust that we won’t steer you wrong, is show you what we put in last year’s calendar. You can see that it’s a good mix of styles, seasonals, and flavors, but all of the beers are highly rated, very well respected, and delicious. Any true beer lover will love every beer in the case.
**** DANGER, DANGER! ****
We would like to repeat, this is NOT the list of beers in the 2014 CBAC. This is the 2013 CBAC, listed here as examples of the types of beers you can expect this year. Repeat. These are NOT the beers you’ll be getting this year. (They’ll be better!) Anyhoo, here’s what we put in last year’s case.
