One thing we like about being a local, independent restaurant instead of part of some huge, impersonal chain is that we get to make our own decisions. There’s not some dude hiding behind a desk somewhere in Idaho sending us mandates that we have to follow blindly. Instead, we do what we think is best for you, our customers.
Which brings us to: our new menus! We’ve made quite a few changes, all of which are designed to make your dining experience better, from start to finish. Here’s what we did:
- The most obvious change is the look. Probably the biggest two complaints we heard about our physical menus were that it was hard to read, and it was hard to find what you were looking for. The new menus are black print on a white background, for easy reading on those dark patio nights, and our sections are more clearly designated. Plus, it just looks cooler! 😉
- Besides the new design, the biggest change we made was taking off some of our items. We’ve been finding that as we’ve gotten busier over the past few years, some of our items were creating bottlenecks and slowing down the whole lunch or dinner service. Eliminating these items should make our service faster for everyone, not just the people who ordered these slower items.
- The other thing we did was we took off some of the items that we felt were inconsistent. We want you to be able to order anything off our menu and have it be amazing, every time. Some of our items were great when they were made properly, but not great when they weren’t. Those items are gone.
- Finally, we added lots of items that we’re really excited about. We think all of our new items are amazing, and we’re proud to offer them to you. Like we said earlier, our menu isn’t designed by some test kitchen in some mystery location. We design the menu in house, we make the items ourselves, and we get to see you in person to ask how everything is. If we didn’t think it was awesome, we wouldn’t offer it to you.
So what does all this mean to you? Welp, the bad news is, we may have taken off your favorite item. But here’s a little secret: we might actually still be able to make it. Ask your server, and if we still have the ingredients because we use them somewhere else on the menu, we’ll be happy to make it for you. If we can’t, we apologize, but talk to your server and they can suggest a possible replacement. We think our new items are good enough to become your new favorites!
Want to see some of the changes? Here are links to our online menus, and if words don’t really do it for you, there’s also a link to our Facebook page, where we’ll be posting pictures of the new menu items for the next few weeks.
Thanks for stopping by, and we hope to see you soon!
